Simon Woodroffe, founder of Yo! Sushi and Yo! Hotel, talked us through his new concept in city living, Yo! Home. The aim is to revolutionise the way we live in small apartments, by using revolving walls, floors and furniture to create new spaces within the the standard studio flat. At the flick of a switch, the bed disappears into the ceiling to reveal a sunken lounge area (photo above). Very 007!

The V&A hosted a great press preview day for their events and installations that will be taking place during London Design Festival. The designer behind the womenswear label is Korean born Hwan Heo, a graduate from the RCA. His woven and razer-cut leather pieces are striking and I feel this is a label to keep a close eye on over the next few seasons. You can see the collection and a selection of the designers films at: http://heohwansimulation.com/#/home
