I have just been to the launch of Mulberry’s ‘Brilliant Britain’ website and book at Harrods. The English luxury goods company has produced a guide to the undiscovered places, people and events that make Britain such an interesting island, from the traditional British picnic to the beautiful architecture of places such as Somerset House. The guide has been created by the Wallpaper magazine editor Henrietta Thompson, who gave a lovely speech this morning on her experience of working on the project. In contrast to the usual British sense of self-depreciation, it was refreshing to be reminded of all the things that make Britain Great. Visitors to the website can add to the debate and upload their own opinions on what is unique about Britian at: www.brilliantbritainguide.com
